Global Moxie
Designer, strategist, author
Brooklyn, New York
I'm a designer specializing in multi-device design, strategy, and user experience. I'm author of four books, including "Tapworthy: Designing Great iPhone Apps" (O'Reilly, 2010) and the forthcoming "Designing for Touch" (A Book Apart, 2015). I lead design agency Global Moxie, which offers design services, strategic consulting, and training to help creative organizations build exceptional interfaces for apps, websites and connected devices. Clients include AOL, Time Inc, eBay, O'Reilly Media, and many others.

Before the internet swallowed me up, I was a producer of national PBS programs at Boston's WGBH. I shared my three words of Russian with Mikhail Gorbachev, strolled the ranch with Nancy Reagan, hobnobbed with Rockefellers, and wrote trivia questions for a primetime game show. In 1996, I created the "Couch-to-5K" (C25K) running schedule, which has helped millions of skeptical would-be exercisers take up jogging. (My motto is the same for fitness as it is for software user experience: no pain, no pain.)
